Funk & Wagnalls Co., 1927, New York and London. Complete 10 volume set, hardcover, all missing original dust jackets. Volumes in original red bindings, with previous owner's signature present in blue pen on the front and rear pastedown. All volumes are in overall good condition, with signs of shelf wear and minor rubbing/fraying to the head and tailcaps of the spine, as well as rubbing along the spine that has removed the previous gilt lettering, leaving a legible black lettering. All volumes have a level of separation at the spine, though bindings and textblocks remain otherwise tight and intact. Volume 8 has a superficial slit/slash in the center of the spine, though the textblock binding remains intact. All volumes feature signs of sunning and dust-staining to the edges of the textblock. Textblocks as a whole remain complete and unmarked. Individual volume notes and titles are as follows ('n/a' dictated if no condition notes of significance outside of what has already been described): Vol. 1 'Adventure': Rubbing to the spine has rendered the lettering hard to read. Vol. 2 'Romance': tearing to bottom right corner of page 279 and rear free end paper. Text is unaffected. Vol. 3 'Mystery': previous dog ear on page 226, fold mark still remains. Vol. 4 'Love': Gathering beginning to loosen between pages 67-78 Vol. 5 'Drama': n/a Vol. 6 'Courage': unknown stain to center of pages 30-31. Vol. 7 “Women”: n/a Vol. 8 “Men”: n/a Vol. 9 “Ghosts”: cracking to rear inner hinge along rear free end paper. Vol. 10 “Humor”: n/a.
